Transactions
The POS Register Screen should already be displayed...
Use the [Tab] key to move the cursor between the Quantity: field and the Item Number: field. You can key in the item number into it's field if you know it and then press the [Tab] key to "enter" it or you can scan the UPC code item number into the Item Number: field using a "wedge" type bar code scanner installed between the keyboard and the DIN connector on the computer. You can also use the "Function Keys" as noted on each of the eight buttons. You can also use this POS Register Screen with a properly set up "touch screen" monitor system too.
If the item number has not been entered into the "inventory" (stuff you sell) file an inventory selection table screen will be displayed. You can also "force" the inventory selection table screen to be displayed by entering in "garbage" data and then pressing the [Tab] key.
Use the arrow keys or the mouse to select/highlight the desired inventory item and click on the 
button and the selected item will appear on the POS Register Screen
Use the mouse or the [F5] key to press the Special Item button to bring up the Special Item / Price Override Form...
Key in the Item Number if you know it, scan it in or press the button to enter in the "default" item information from the Inventory (Stuff you sell) file.
Press the 
button and the default item information will be filled in and you will be taken back to the POS Register screen.
Continue until all items are entered into the table.
