Installing or Starting The System

To INSTALL and/or RUN the KwikSALESTM system:

 

1.        Be sure Windows is running and you are ready to do the install process.
2.        Select Start IN THE LOWER LEFT CORNER OF THE WINDOWS DESKTOP, and then Run.
3.        Enter <driveletter>:\<installfilename>.exe
4.        EXAMPLE: d:\kwiksales1_install.exe
5.        OR browse to the drive letter where the install CD is located.
6.        NOTE: The <installfilename> for several versions may be visible.  Be sure to choose the appropriate file to install.
7.        This install process will create Icons on your Windows Desktop. 
8.        Run KwikSALESTM System Application. 
9.        Backup & Restore KwikSALESTM System Directory & Sub-Directories if installed. 
10.        Resource Scheduling (Appointment Book) if installed. 
11. Network Reset Application utility application to be used if you get the following dialog box:

12.The installation application/file installs menu items in the [Start] Menu as follows:

      MenuStartKwikSALES1 The menu choice names are self explanatory...

 

 

 

kwikslsdesktopicon1 Clicking on this icon on the Windows Desktop will start the KwikSALESTM Application.

 

The first dialog box to come up in a new install is the Application Registration form asking for application registration information.

Pressing the register button will bring up your email application addressed to us requesting to register your application...  An example follows...

Pressing the [Website] button will bring up your web browser application showing our web site for you to purchase and then register your application...  An example follows...

After the 30 day evaluation period the Evaluation/Demo Version Only registration dialog box will appear and the user will not be able to add any additional Customers, Sales Forms and Inventory Items.

Choose Continue to remain using as a evaluation/demo.

 

Go to the Registration documentation to learn how to do your registration and to see how to register the application by entering the registeration info into the registration dialog box.

 

Starting the application....

 

The next screen you encounter is the Application Security dialog box asking for a Login Name and a Password.

1.Enter DEMO if shown in the above User Login dialog box above or your assigned login name and password.

2.        Click the [Log in] button to complete the Log in security request. 

3.If you enter an invalid Log in Name or Password you get the following Log on Failed dialog box.

The Company Selection Form is displayed if the multi-company version is being used.

 

Running the KwikSALESTM System...

The drop down menu and button bar choices are self-explanatory by their names...

ButtonMenuTree1 Use the Menu Tree button to get the following... 

After the ButtonMenuTreePlus1 button is pressed the Tree is shown expanded so you can scroll through every menu choice and see what they are to choose the one you want...

The ButtonMenuTreeMinus1 button closes the Menu Tree all the way back up from whatever form it is expended in at the time...

 

Clicking on the small [+] "buttons" in the branches of the Menu Tree will expand that branch of the Menu Tree... Clicking on the small [-] "buttons" in the branches of the Menu Tree will contract that branch of the Menu Tree...  Various combinations of expanded and/or contracted Menu Tree branches are a very convenient way to use the application...
