Company Selection Form (Multi-Company Version)

| Setting up a new company starts with the Company Selection Form. Each time you start the KwikOFFICETM KwikSALESTM system, the Company Selection Form is displayed.

|
|
|
| This form displays your product registration information and allows you to select a company to process.
|
|
|
| · | Selecting "Review using the Sample Company" allows you to
|
| experiment and familiarize yourself with the system using the
|
| sample data provided.
|
|
|
| · | "Set up a New Company" begins the process of building a set of
|
| files for a new company.
|
|
|
| · | "Open an Existing Company" displays a list of available
|
| companies so you can select the company you wish to process.
|
| If there is only one company defined, that company is automatically used.
|
| If there are no companies defined, the process for setting up a new
|
| company begins.
|
|
|
| If you are starting a new company, select "Set up a New Company" and then press the Ok button.
|
|
|
| If there are existing companies, the Company Selection Table is displayed and you will need to click the Insert button to add your new company. Otherwise, the Company Maintenance Form is immediately displayed.

| The Company Maintenance Form is displayed.
|
|
|
| Enter the name of the company and a unique company id (up to eight (8) characters). The company id is concatenated to the directory containing the KwikOFFICETM KwikSALESTM software to form a path for the files of the new company.

| The path is displayed for your information.
|
|
|
| Press the Ok button to complete the form.
|
|
|
| A set of startup files is copied to the new company's directory. Entries in these files can be used as created or can easily be modified for use with this company.
|

|
| The startup files copied to the new company's directory include:
|
|
|
| · | Chart of Accounts
|
| · | Ship Via Methods
|
| · | Payment Methods
|
| · | Messages
|
| · | Credit Terms
|
| · | Expense Types
|
|
|
| Once the new company setup is complete and the KwikOFFICETM KwikSALESTM menu is displayed, you should select Maintenance and then view the above listed files and modify them as necessary.

| After selecting a company, today's reminders are displayed. Display of the reminders is controlled from the General Information file. There you can indicate whether or not to display the reminders on start up.
